ORDINANCE NO. D-2653-22
AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA,
AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING AN APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FROM THE
OPERATING BALANCE OF THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND (FUND #201)
Synopsis: Appropriates funds that were received from INDOT as Local Public Agency
reimbursements.
WHEREAS, the City has received Eight Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty Six Dollars and
Fourteen Cents ($8,786.14) from the Indiana Department of Transportation for Local Public Agency
(“LPA”) reimbursements that was deposited into the operating balance of the Motor Vehicle Highway
Fund; and
WHEREAS, in order to expend the funds mentioned above for road improvement projects, the
LPA funds must be appropriated into the 2022 Motor Vehicle Highway Fund Budget; and
WHEREAS, the operating balance of the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund (Fund #201) currently
has excess funds in the amount of Eight Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty Six Dollars and Fourteen
Cents ($8,786.14); and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to now appropriate such funds accordingly.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana,
that the following sum of money is hereby appropriated from the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund (Fund
#201) and for the purposes specified, subject to applicable laws, as follows:
$8,786.14 from the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund (#201)
To
Motor Vehicle Highway Fund #201 (2200): Line Item 4350900 – Other Cont Services - $8,786.14
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of its passage, execution
by the Mayor.
