The building & Sewer Shall be pve sewer pipe meeting ASTM specifications 3034 SDR 35 of latest revision; or vitrified clay pipe, meeting
ASTM specifications C-700 for extra strength clay pipe of latest revision unless other materials are hereby permitted in writing. The sewer:
shall be installed in accordance with ASTM 2321 for pve pipe and the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State of Indiana. All installations shaJl be
in strict compliance with pertinent City ofCarmcl ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed in accordance with City Code Section
9-122(a), and sections P3008.1 and.2 of the International Residential Code. All building sewers shall be 6" diameter.
All installations shall be "ooen trench" insnected and aooroved bv the Carmel Sewer Dcoartment before anv backfilling is done. Non~
compliance may result in digging up the sewer installation and/or denial of future sewer permits and/or denial of water connections.
No footing or foundation drains or other sources of ground water or storm water shaH be permitted to enter the public sewer.
Sewer insoections should be reauested at (317) 571-2648 onc to four hours in advance.
No inspections or installations will be made on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unless arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance. All
plumbers or contractors installing sewer (or water) lines shall have a plumbers bond posted with the CITY ENGINEER'S OFFICE. Ifany street
must he cut a ~enarate street cut nermit shall he ohtainco.
