Mr. Gchs:
We have revisited our review of the Indoor pools and decks for Carmel-
Monon Recreation Center. As requested, we are providing the following
information.
1. Total number of occupants for the indoor pools = 536 bathers.
2. Total number of occupants for the indoor pool deck areas = Based
on all deck areas of 8031sf including concessi.ons = 535 occupants
3. Total number of occupants at the viewing sLands = 70 occupants
4. Occupant load of the offices and accessory areas that would
egress through the pool area and deck = 8 occupants
5. TOTAL NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS FOR POOLS, DECK, VIEWING AREA and
ACCESSORY SPACES ~ 1150 occupants
6. Number of exits as directed by IBC Table 1005.2.1
Four exits are required according to Section lBC Table 1005.2.1.
Five exits have been provided.
7. Common path of egress travel per lBC Section 1004.2.5
The path of egress travel complies with this section.
8. Egress width of each doorway per lEC 1003.2.3.
The building is fully sprinklered. The total required exit width
for the Natatorium Space is 172 inches. The total exit width provided
from Lhis space is 288 inches.
