Main Street Dear Sir: Would you kindly bring this letter to the attention of the Board of Zoning Appeals at the appropriate time. We are concerned about the possibility of the intrusion of commercial use and signage on the South side of East Main Street, East of Gray Road,a residential area near the school system's administrative offices. We understand that someone is petitioning to allow a State Farm Insurance office at the location in question, which is 4991 E. Main Street, and that the Board has the matter scheduled for hearing on January 23. We hope the Board will determine that the interests of nearby home owners outweigh the petitioner's interest in opening a business at that location. An insurance agency office is not a compatible use in that location. In fairness,the stability and character of the whole "East of Keystone"residential area could be affected if commercial uses are allowed in this residential part of our city.
