As stated in a letter dated December 20, 2005, from the Department of Community Services: The above reCerenced site is within the Range Line Road/Cannel Drive Overlay Zone. Be aware that signage and A TM Kiosk design and aesthetics are reviewed by this committee. Signage and kiosks are accessories to the primary stmcture; accordingly their design must reflect such. Materials, colors, and style should compliment the existing stmcture's architecture and colors. The stmcture at this address is primarily brick and is oC a very traditional style. The resulting kiosk and signage should utilize earth tones and natural materials to the extent possible. A brushed metal kiosk (as shown in the original proposal) would not be approved. as it is not in character with the building, let alone the larger context. Given that this submission has completely disregarded the above, the department will NOT support the approval of this structure.
