Dear Members:
The Cannel Plan Commission offers you the following report on the application Docket
No. PZ-2022-00191 Z - petitioning to rezone 13.9 acres from RI/Residence and
B1Business to B3/Business. The site is located at 10402 N College Ave. It is currently
zoned R1/Residence, B1/Business, and B3/Business. Part of the site is located within the
Homeplace Business District Overlay.
The Carmel Plan Commission Commercial Committee's recommendation on the petition
of the applicant is"Favorable."
At its regularly scheduled meeting on January 3, 2023, the Cannel Plan Commission
Commercial Committee voted Four (4) in Favor, Zero (0) Opposed, Zero (0) Absent, to
forward to the Common Council the proposed Ordinance No. Z-680-23 with a
"Favorable Recommendation".
Please be advised that by virtue of the Plan Commission's Favorable Recommendation,
pursuant to IC 36-7-4-608(f), the Council has ninety (90) days to act on this petition
before it becomes effective as Certified by the Commission. Ninety days from the date of
the Certification is Monday, April 17, 2023.
