Notice is hereby given that the CarmeVClay Board of Zoning Appeals meeting on the 24th day of
July, 2006 at 5:45p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 1 Civic Square, Carmel, Indiana
46032 will hold a Public Hearing upon a Development Standards Variance application to:
The Brookshire Village Homeowners Association is in the process of replacing the subdivision
signs at their three entrances, 126th Street, Kensington and Bentley. The grassy islands, where
the current signs are located, are not owned by the Brookshire Village HOA as common area.
These areas are, in fact, owned by the City of Carmel, as are the streets, and are considered
easements. For this reason, the Brookshire Board must request a variance in order to have the
replacement signed erected.
The Brookshire Village Board is replacing the signs because they are needed to enhance, update
and revitalize the entrances to the neighborhood. We must maintain the integrity of Brookshire
Village in order to maintain our property values.
There will be a Public Hearing Notice placed at the 126th Street entrance for 10 days and all
adjoining properties will receive this letter. These are requirements set forth by the City of
Carmel.
The application is identified as Docket No: 06070005
