Project Narrative:
The proposed project is the proposed facilities of the Midwest Youth Tennis Foundation
office complex east of the Five Season Recreational center on the north side of 96th
Street, East of College A venue. The site is located in Hamilton County, more specifically
in the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 12, Township 17 North,
Range 3 East, Clay Township, Indiana.
The existing facilities is approximately 1.92 Acres, comprising of vacant ground used as a
lawn area.
Existing Conditions
The Storage facilities, were analyzed for the 2, 10 and 100 year storm using the Rational
Hydrograph of Hydroflow; and a IDF storm for Hamilton County to develop the Q2. QIO,
and QIOO frequency storms. The existing runoff was considered without any
improvements, meaning a runoff coefficient of 0.3 and a peak time of concentration of 24
minutes was used the analysis. The proposed runoff from the new site was determined
with fully developed conditions with a coefficient of 0.90; and a variable time of
concentration. Based upon the duration of a five minutes to a twelve hour storm
hydro graph, the following storage and discharges resulted.

Detention Calculations:
Underground detention is the alternative substitute to the open detention.
The underground storage detention, were analyzed for the 2, 10 and 100 year storm using
the rational hydrograph. Based upon the duration of a half hour to a twenty-four hour
storm hydro graph, the following peak storage and discharges resulted:

Summary and Conclusions
In the summaries of the detention analysis, the proposed discharges from the
underground storage detention to the legal drain tile yields a 100-year discharge of 0.72
cfs, which is considered as

The release rate of the detention area from that of the proposed site has been designed
such that the release is not an increase over what is being discharged as of today. The
underground detention as recommended should be able to retain increase flows.
The following drainage analysis depictsJhat with the proposed detention, the subject
property is in accordance with current policy of Hamilton County and does surfice the
stage control of the outlet by maintaining the release discharges below Q2exist.
