The building & Sewer Shall be pve sewer pipe meeting ASTM specifications 3034 SDR 35 of latest revision; or vitrified clay pipe, meeting
ASTM specifications C-700 for extra strength clay pipe of]atest revision unless other materials are hereby permitted in writing. The sewer
shall be installed in accordance with ASTM 2321 for pve pipe and the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State of Indiana. All installations shall be
in strict compliance with pertinent City ofCarmcl ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed in accordance with City Code Section
9.] 22(a), and sections P3008.1 and.2 of the Internationa] Residentia] Code. All building sewers shall be 6" diameter.
All installations sha1l be "ooen trench" insoected and aooroved bv the Carmel Sewer Deoartment beforc any backfilling is done. Non-
compliance may result in digging up the sewer installation and/or denial of future sewer permits and/or denial of water connections.
No footing or foundation drains or other sources of ground watcr or storm water shall be permitted to enter the public sewer.
Scwer insoections should be rcauested at (3171 571-2648 one to four hours in advancc.
No inspections or installations wi1l be made on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unlcss arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance. All
plumbers or contractors installing sewer (or watcr) lines shaH have a plumbers bond posted with the CITY ENGINEER'S OFFICE. Ifany strcct
