Docket No. 133-01 ADLS Amend; First Indiana Bank Signs Petitioner seeks Architectural Design, Lighting, Landscaping & Signage Amendment approval to modify wall signage. The site is zoned B-8. The site is located north at 2138 East 116th Street. Filed by David Buffuan of eso for First Indiana Bank. The applicant is requesting ADLS Amendment approval to revise the signs approved under Docket No.1 06-98 ADLS. The committee may recall that ADLS amendment approval was granted earlier this year to allow the building to be modified in height. At that time the committee was not asked to review changes to the signs. The most significant change in the signs is the elimination of the logo from the sings on the east, north and south elevations. Other minor changes have been made to sign location and size with the exception to the south elevation sign size. Variances were granted to allow the signs to be located on the roof on the roof of the building as well as to allow two additional signs. The signs on the east and north elevations have variance approval to be 52.5 square feet in area as opposed to the 45 square feet permitted by Ordinance (see information packet for building elevations). The item only requires approval by the Special Studies Committee. Note: As presented the sign proposed for the south elevation would require additional approval by the Board of Zoning appeals. The maximum sign size is 45 square feet in area and the proposed sign is 74 square feet. The Department recommends that the Special Studies Committee approve this request subject to review by the Board of Zoning Appeals for the sig.n on the south elevation. Committee Report 2001-11-6.rtf
