THE CONTRACTOR MUST USE PROPOSED SPOT GRADE ELEVATIONS AND PROFILES TO BUILD SITE. CONTACT ENGINEER IF ADDITIONAL SPOT GRADES ARE NEEDED FOR CONSTRUCTION. 5.PAVEMENT AREAS SHALL BE CONSTRUCTED OF SUITABLE FILL MATERIAL AND COMPACTED PER SPECIFICATIONS. FILL AREAS FOR PAVEMENTS ARE TO BE STRIPPED OF ALL TOPSOIL PRIOR TO PLACEMENT OF FILL. 6.ANY DISCREPANCIES OR CONFLICTS WHICH BECOME APPARENT BEFORE OR DURING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE DESIGN ENGINEER PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION SO THAT CLARIFICATION OR REDESIGN MAY OCCUR. 7.SEE STORM SEWER PROFILES FOR STORM SEWER INVERT AND RIM ELEVATIONS. 8.CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHECKING THAT STAKED GRADES MATCH DESIGN ELEVATIONS AND POSITIVE DRAINAGE TO STORMWATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IS ACHIEVED. CONTACT ENGINEER IF DESIGN ELEVATIONS DO NOT PROVIDE POSITIVE DRAINAGE. 9.THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DETERMINING EARTHWORK QUANTITIES AND INCLUDE ANY NECESSARY EXPORT OR IMPORT OF MATERIAL. IMPORT MATERIAL SHALL BE PRE-APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER/ARCHITECT. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO REVIEW THE EXISTING CONDITIONS AND INCLUDE IN THEIR BID ALL EARTHWORK COSTS INCLUDING IMPORTS AND/OR EXORTS NECESSARY TO MAKE THE SITE BALANCE. 10.CONTRACTOR TO ADJUST ALL EXISTING SURFACE INFRASTRUCTURE (HYDRANTS, VALVES, HANDHOLES, CASTINGS, IRRIGATION SYSTEM, UTILITY PEDESTALS, ETC.) AS REQUIRED TO MEET PROPOSED GRADE AT NO COST TO OWNER. 11.PROVIDE POSITIVE DRAINAGE WITHOUT PONDING IN ALL AREAS. AFTER INSTALLATION, CONTRACTOR TO TEST FOR AND CORRECT, IF ANY, STANDING WATER CONDITIONS AT NO COST TO OWNER. 12.CONTRACTOR TO PERPETUATE ANY SUBSURFACE DRAIN TILES OR PIPES ENCOUNTERED DURING CONSTRUCTION AND PROVIDE POSITIVE OUTLET TO DOWNSTREAM RECEIVING SYSTEM.
