for areas that have a high proportion of climactic disasters.
There is a vast untapped market for safety film within the U.S. that has been recognized! by the
window film industry. There are two major tests which establish the credibility ofsafety glazing
products in the United States. One is !be Americ;an National Standards InstiNte Z97.1-1984. This
standard is entitled AmeriC3ll Natiollll1 Standard for Safety Glazing Materials Used in Buildings
- Safety PerfOrmaJlce Specifications aIld Method of Test. The other is the Consumer Product
Safety Commission entitled Consumer Protection Safety Commission Federal Regulation Title 16
CPC 1201 Safety Standard for Architectural Glazing Materials.
Architects, engineers, and safety and security specialists determine the suitability of safety glaz-
ing materials based on !be results !bat manufacturers achieve with these two tests. Sun-Gard-
Safety Film 4 Mil (NRLW 4()0 C90 PS SCR) passes aU sections of both of these tests. The cri-
