Docket No. 142-01 DP Amend; North Haven Office Building Petitioner seeks Amended Development Plan approval to modify a previously approved office and multi-family development. The site is zoned R-5. The site is located at 9800 North Gray Road. Filed by Charles D. Frankenberger of Nelson & Frankenberger for C. P. Morgan Co. The applicant is requesting an amendment to the Development Plan approved early this year for the subject site. Please refer to the informational booklet for detailed information on the revised site layout and building elevations. The layout of the site changes very little from the plan previously approved by the Plan Commission. The most significant site change is the removal of parking from the southeast area of the lake. In addition to the minor site changes, the applicant is proposing to modify the previously approved building elevations for the office use. The proposed multi-family buildings and clubhouse building have not changed from the original approval. The applicant has indicated that the proposed building elevation for this office building reflects a change for the entire office portion of the mixed-use community. Upon approval, the proposed elevations would be used to evaluate future building permit applications within the remainder of the office portion of the development. It is the preference of the Department to maintain a consistent design theme within the office portion of the development. The Department recommends that this item be forwarded to the Special Studies Committee on January 8th for further discussion. However, if there are no concerns raised by the public or comments from Plan Commission members that may be resolved in committee, the Department would recommend that the Plan Commission suspend its rules and move to approve the DP Amend petition at this meeting.
