All sign manufacturers, fabrication or sub-contractors submitting a bid proposal of any part of or all signage represented in these drawings are required to meet or surpass all the performance specifications stated below. If not adhered to, all parties involved are subject to incur all costs involved in the reconstruction or additional construction neces- sary to obtain the product intended. This also includes any cost of labor, materials, or products involved in the construction of sign(s). All signs are subject to approval by client and/or designer before installation.' iF i;~j . All manufacturers are required to submit to client and designer clear and accurate bid proposals. These proposals are to f~lIy state complete fabrication process with all sizes, colors, and alterations in fabrication shown in the design drawings (final bid acceptance, any changes or alterations in fabrication shown in the design drawings are to be fully explained in detail and shop drawings submitted for client and designer approval). Selected sign manufacturer will be responsible for coordinating, obtaining, and paying for all sign permits. These permits are to be acquired before installing any sign(s) and copies of permits sent to client and designer. ,c) ~- METAL CABINETRY All metal cabinets constructed by fabricator must be sufficient gauge metal to prevent any convex or concave distortions. All metal surfaces must be free from scratches, burn, and breaks and must be totally seamless in construction with no visible fasteners. A matching access panel may be located at the top of the sign for use in installation or removal. WOOD PANELS All wood panels are to be constructed from top grade wood, free from knots, holes, or irregularities. All wood is, to be properly cured and dried with minimal moisture content. All panels are to be beveled or tongue-and-groove construction or better. Where neces- sary, panels should be backed with a sufficient material to prevent any warping of boards used in construction. GRAPHICS Sign lettering, directional arrows and/or symbols are to be accurate sizes, colors and let- ter styles as specified in the drawings and sign schedule. All lettering should be executed in such manner that all the edges and corners of letters are clean, true and precise. All letter forms should be accurately reproduce from the original font. All paints, inks, resins, and other materials used shall be compatible and guaranteed not to cause discolorations, deteriorations or delamination of any materials used in fabrica- tion. All paint color matches must be approved by designer prior to sign fabrication without exception. POST/MOUNTING HARDWARE All post/mounting hardware and installation hardware are to provide sufficient support and be constructed as specified on drawings provided. All hardware is to be compatible with all materials it comes in contact with to prevent any deterioration, rusting, or fad- ing of paints used in construction. All hardware is to be concealed where possible and must not be seen on any sign face.
