Re: BZA Docket Nos. PZ-2023-00048 V; PZ-2023-00050 V: Strader Residence Variances.
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Strader:
At the meeting held on Monday, March 27, 2023, the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals Hearing Officer took the
following action regarding the Development Standards Variance (V) requests filed by you for the property located
at 12517 Brompton Road:
APPROVED: Strader Residence Variances - Development Standards Variance approvals for:
• PZ-2023-00048 V: Minimum 20-ft rear setback allowed, 12-ft granted, and
• PZ-2023-00050 V: Maximum 35% lot coverage allowed, 51% granted.
Please be advised that per Article 9.15 of the Unified Development Ordinance, the aforementioned Development
Standards Variance approval is valid for three (3) years. By that time, either continuous construction of the
improvements must be underway, or a written request for a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must
have been received and approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the approval is March 27,
2026.
Please include a copy of this letter with any permit application.
