Bicycle parking access
The proposed location for the bicycle racks is not accessible because of the
furniture and the access point to the patio. Section 5.29 of the City's UDO
specifies that bicycle parking is to be within fifty (50) feet of the main
entrance and easily accessible from all trails and sidewalks with direct access.
The current proposal does not provide a direct and unobstructed route to
the racks from the path along Main St. Revise the plans to provide a direct
and convenient route to the bicycle parking from the path.

Rack options that don't require lifting bikes
Please consider including floor mounted racks or racks that don't require
someone to lift their bike along with the proposed wall racks. This will
provide someone who can not lift their bike or people with heavy e-bikes to
secure their bikes without having to lift them up to the wall mounted rack.

the ground and 12 racks above. The racks over the
ground mounted racks lower down to a height to make
it easier to place a bike on the rack before raising again.

The City of Carmel requires that all water leaving a site shall be treated by a
stormwater quality management system consisting of a minimum of two
different BMPs. The installed stormwater quality management system shall
be capable of removing a minimum of 80% of the TSS. Per Section 3.1.4 of
the drainage report, water quality treatment is being provided by the
proposed Aqua Swirl water quality treatment unit and storage settlement
sump in the underground detention vault. Annual sediment removal for
BMP's selected from the Indianapolis SQU Selection Guide shall be based on
NJDEP certified flow rates for the unit selected. See also ref #31 for the MTD
sizing. Testing to establish the TSS removal rate for the storage settlement
sump in the underground detention vault must be conducted by an
independent testing facility. Please provide calculations for removal
efficiency of a number of BMPs in a series to confirm the TSS removal rate is
met for this site.

through the system. On-line units must document the peak 10-year flow (per
Section 305.02 of the STSM) is less than the approved maximum10-yr flow

Street project, Joe Wright (jwright@hwcengineering.com), to discuss the
drainage being incorporated with the roadway project. There might have
