Notice is hereby given that the City of Carmel and Clay Township Board of Zoning Appeals, at its public meeting
on the 23rd day of April, 2000, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 2nd floor of City Hall, One (I) Civic
Square, Carmel, Indiana 46032, will hold a Public Hearing upon an Application and Request for Special Use
Approval filed by Baker & Daniels on behalf of the Carmel United Methodist Church to permit the remodeling of
and an addition to the Carmel United Methodist Church, located at 621 South Range Line Road, Carmel, Indiana
and within the R-2/Residence and B-3/Business Districts (Special Use Approval required). The Application and
Request is identified as Docket No. SUA-2-01 and specifically requests Special Use Approval per Sections 8.4
(R-2 Residence District), and Section 13.2 (B-3 Business District), of the Zoning Ordinance of Carmel and Clay
Township. The real estate affected by said Application and Request is owned by the Carmel United Methodist
Church, located at 621 South Range Line Road, Carmel, Indiana, and described as follows:
Legal Description
A part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 30, Township 18 North, Range 4 East and a part of the
Northwest Quarter of Section 31, Township 18 North, Range 4 East, all in Hamilton County, Indiana,
being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest comer ofthe Southwest Quarter of Section 30, Township 18 North, Range 4
East, Hamilton County, Indiana; thence North 00 degrees 16 minutes 40 seconds West on the west line of
said Southwest Quarter a distance of 522.50 feet to the northwest comer ofthe real estate described in
Deed Book 138, Page 81 in the Office of the Recorder of Hamilton County, Indiana; thence the following
two calls on the perimeter of said real estate: 1.) North 89 degrees 51 minutes 51 seconds East parallel
with the South line of said Southwest Quarter 635.70 feet; 2.) South 00 degrees 16 minutes 40 seconds
East 1.76 feet to a point on the north line of the real estate described in Deed Book 342, Page 82; thence

CITY OF CARMEL AND CLAY TOWNSHIP
BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

Notice is hereby given that the City of Cannel and Clay Township Board of Zoning Appeals, at its public
meeting on the 23rd day of April, 2000, at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 2nd floor of City Hall,
One (1) Civic Square, Cannel, Indiana 46032, will hold a Public Hearing upon an Application and Request
for Special Use Approval filed by Baker & Daniels on behalf of the Cannel United Methodist Church to
pennit the remodeling of and an addition to the Cannel United Methodist Church, located at 621 South
Range Line Road, Cannel, Indiana and within the R-2/Residence and B-3/Business Districts (Special Use
Approval required). The Application and Request is identified as Docket No. SUA_-OI and specifically
requests Special Use Approval per Sections 8.4 (R-2 Residence District), and Section 13.2 (B-3 Business
District), ofthe Zoning Ordinance of Cannel and Clay Township. The real estate affected by said
Application and Request is owned by the Cannel United Methodist Church, located at 621 South Range Line
Road, Carmel, Indiana, and described as follows:

The details ofthe Application and Request are on file in the Department of Community Services Office, 3rd
Floor of City Hall, One (1) Civic Square, Cannel, Indiana 46032, and may be examined during nonnal office
hours. Written comments regarding the Application and Request may be filed with the Secretary of the
Board of Zoning Appeals before the hearing at the above address. Any person may offer verbal comments at
the hearing or may file written comments at the hearing. The hearing may be continued to a future date from
time to time as may be found necessary.

The following perimeter description of the surveyed tract has been
prepared (does not include any right-of-way of 126th Street):
A part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 3D, Township 18 North, Ronge
4 East and a part of the Northwest Quarter of Section 31, Township 18
North, Range 4 East, all in Homilton County, Indiana, being more
particularly described os follows: .
Beginning at the southwest comer of the Southwest Quarter of Section
3D, Township 18 North, Range 4 East, Hamilton County, Indiana; thence
. North 00 degrees 16 minutes 40 seconds West on the west line of said
Southwest Quarter a distance af 522.50 feet to the northwest corner of
the real estate described in Deed Book 138, Poge 81 in the Office of the
Recorder of Hamilton County, Indiana; thence the following two calls on
the perimeter of said real estate: 1.) North 89 degrees 51 minutes 51
seconds East parallel with the south line of said Southwest Quarter
635.70 feet; 2.) South 00 degrees 16 minutes 40 seconds East 1.76 feet
to 0 point on the north line of the real estate described in Deed Baok
