The Hamilton County Surveyor's Office has all outstanding issues now resolved and the-
permit can be released. The contractor will still need to contact Bob Thompson with our
office before any earth moving activities begin, to have a pre-con meeting with our office
and the Town of Zionsville. If you have any questions, please let me know.

RE: Water Reimbursement for Pearson Ford
Dear Mr. Pearson:
This letter is intended to confirm for you what Carmel Utilities will do in terms of
reimbursing Pearson Ford for the installation of water infrastructure in conjunction with
your current expansion project on Michigan Road.
Carmel Utilities is requesting that Pearson Ford install approximately ft. of 16"
ductile iron water main on the eastern edge of your property and directly adjacent to the
Michigan Road right of way. The main needs to be installed in a 10" utility easement that
we are requesting be granted by Pearson Ford to Carmel Utilities.
Carmel Utilities will reimburse Pearson Ford via a Water Line Reimbursement
Agreement that is approved by the Carmel Board of Public Works and safety.
100% reimbursement will be for the materials associated with the 16" water main
including pipe, hydrants, and valves. Labor costs to install the pipe, engineering fees and
associated legal expenses are also fully reimbursable. Carmel Utilities and Pearson Ford
will need to reach an agreement on what the total reimbursable cost will be prior to the
work beginning. Reasonable costs for change orders will also be reimbursed by amending
the original Agreement.
I understand that this change in water utility providers was not something you planned
on, and your cooperation to date is very much appreciated. It is expected that you will
have additional questions that hopefully I will be able to address quickly. I look forward

The Hamilton County Surveyorls Office still has outstanding issues with the drainage and
erosion control on this project. We have issues a conditional approval letter and are
currently waiting on final drainage approval from the Town of Zionsville. The erosion
control on this project is also cross-jurisdictional with the Town of Zionsville and an
on-site erosion control pre-construction meeting needs to take place before any earth
moving activities take place. I just talked with the engineer and these final steps are
in the works and we have no concern with the pre-submittal process moving forward, but we
want to be on record that if the outstanding issues are not finalized, the project will be
in violation and will be issued a stop work order by HCSO, and possibly the Town of
zionsville. If you have any questions, please let me know.
