Petitioner, please note the following:
1. This item was already on an agenda of the Technical Advisory Committee.
2. Mailed and Published Public Notice needs to occur no later than Thursday, August 3. Published notice
is required within the Indianapolis Star. Note: the placement of a public hearing sign on the property is also
required by the BZA Rules of Procedure, Article VI, Section 6 (see attached pdt).
3. The Proof of Notice will need to be received by this Department no later than noon, Friday, August 25.
Failure to submit Proof of Notice by this time will result in the tabling of the petition.
4. The Filing Fee and Eight (8) Informational Packets must be delivered to BZA Secretary Connie Tingley
no later than NOON. Friday, August 18. Failure to submit Informational Packets by this time will result in the
automatic tabling of the petition to the September agenda of the BZA.
5. This Item will appear on the August 28, 2006 agenda of the Board of Zoning Appeals under Public
Hearings.
6. The petitioner will need to provide a fully filled-out Findings-of-Fact sheet for each petition the night of
the meeting for the Board's use (Sheet 8). On Ballot sheets, only fill out docket number, petitioner, and date
(Sheet 7). Ballot sheets must be collated.

SIGN VARIANCE REQUESTS
(With Regard to Question #70f Application)
Petitioner asks the Board of Zoning Appeals to approve the following sign variances that are
additional signs in number or larger than the sign ordinance permits. In an effort to show all ofthe
signage and requested additional signage, a site plan showing the location of all signs and a chart
showing the size, location and script of all signs is attached.
The signs requiring a variance are:
#3. "Performance Collision Center" (ground sign) 6' tall by 10' wide = 60 sq.ft. A
variance is needed as this is the second sign for the Performance Collision Center
facing 1 06th Street. (The building also has a wall sign facing 1 06th Street - Sign #2.)
#6 "Nottingham Plaza" (center identification sign) 10'8" tall by 10' wide. A variance is
needed because of the height of the sign (8' permitted) and because the sign area
exceeds more than 2/3 of the sign face. (113 is to be used for the center identification
name.)
#7 "Quick Lane" (ground sign) 6' tall by 2' wide = 12 sq.ft. A variance is needed
because this is the second sign for Quick Lane facing 106th Street. (Sign #8 is the
wall sign.) The sign is needed to identify the entrance drive for the Quick Lane
servIce.

general welfare of the community because: The requested signs are necessary to identify the
separate services/businesses that are conducted on site.
2. The use and value of the area adjacent to the property included in the variance will not be
affected in a substantially adverse manner because: The requested signs are contemporary with
the area and have been approved by the Plan Commission as a part of the ADLS review.
