ASTM specifications C~700 for extra strength clay pipe of latest revision unless other materials are hereby permitted in writing. The sewer
shall be installed in accordance with ASTM 2321 for pve pipe and the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State ofIndiana. All installations sh?ll be
in strict compliance with pertinent City ofCarmcl ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed in accordance with City Code SeCtion
9-122(a), and sections P300S.1 and .2 of the International Residential Code. All building sewers shall be 6" diameter.
All installations shall be "oocn trench" insoeeted and aooroved bv the Carmel Sewer Deoartment before any backfillinQ is done. Non-
compliance may result in digging up the sewer installation and/or denial of future sewer permits and/or denial of water connections.
No footing or foundation drains or other sources of ground water or storm water shall be pennitted to cntcr the public sewer.
Sewcr inspcctions should be reauested at (317) 571-2648 one to four hours in advance.
No inspections or installations will be made on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unless arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance. All
plumbers or contractors installing scwer (or water) lines shall have a plumbers bond posted with the CITY ENGINEER'S OFFICE. If any street
must he cut. a scnarate street cut nennit shall he ohtaineo.
