The Amendments (i) designate a portion of the EDA as a separate allocation area to be known as the “1933 Allocation Area,” and (ii) incorporate into the Plan the “2023 Plan Supplement” as described in the Declaratory Resolution. The Commission will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. (local time), in the Council Chambers of the Carmel City Hall, located at One Civic Square, Carmel, Indiana, to receive and hear remonstrances and objections from all persons interested in or affected by the Amendments. At the public hearing, the Commission will also determine whether the proposed Amendments are reasonable and appropriate when considered in relation to the Plan and the purposes of IC 36-7-14, and whether the Plan, with the proposed Amendments, conforms to the comprehensive plan for the City of Carmel.
