Dear Sir or Madam:
Attached please find our petition for a variance request of the sign ordinance.
Carmel Financial, 101 E. Carmel Dr., is submitting this petition. Carmel Financial is also
the owner and tenant of the building where the signage is proposed. The building is
zoned B-8. Adjacent neighbors include Remax, TKO, Landmark Mortgage, and 5/3
Bank.
The current sign ordinance allows for one identification sign for 101 E. Carmel Dr., a
multi-tenant, multi-story building. Meridian Mortgage was granted a variance (78-88) to
install their existing sign. Notes in the variance request indicate that the original
signage plan for the building could noi be located, thus the reasons for the variance
request. The Meridian Mortgage sign is present on the building today.
Carmel Financial would now like to place their name on the building. The proposed
signage text is "Carmel Financial" with their logo. Please reference the attached
picture.
The proposed sign is individual channel letters that are reverse illuminated (the light
reflects from behind the letters). The face of the letters will be black. The logo cabinet is
internally illuminated with the acrylic face and graphics. The proposed signage is 24" in
height and 17' in length, total square footage is 34 sq. ft.
