The building & Sewer Shall be pve sewer pipe meeting ASTM specifications 3034 SDR 35 oflatest revision; or vitrified clay pipe, meetingl
ASTM specifications C-700 for extra strength clay pipe oflatest revision unless other materials are hereby permitted in writing. The sewer
shall be installed in accordance with ASTM 2321 for pve pipe and the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State ofIndiana. All installations shkll be
in strict compliance with pertinent City of Carmel ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed in accordance with City Code Se4tion
9-122(a), and sections P3008.l and.2 of the International Residential Code. AI1 building sewers shall be 6" diameter. ~
All instal1ations shall be "ooen trench" insoected and aooroved bv the Carmel Sewer Deoartment before anv backfilline: is done. Non-
compliance may result in digging up the sewer installation and/or denial of future sewer permits and/or denial of water connections.
No footing or foundation drains or other sources of ground water or stonn water shall be permitted to enter the public sewer.
Sewer insoections should be reauested at (317) 571 ~2648 one to four hours in advance.
No inspections or installations will be made on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unless arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance. 1\1l
plumbers or contractors installing sewer (or water) lines shall have a plumbers bond posted with the CITY ENGINEER'S OFFICE. Ifany ~treet
must he cut. a senarate street cut nennit shall he ohtained.
