The building & Sewer Shall be pve sewer pipe meeting ASTM specifications 3034 SDR 35 of latest revision; or vitrified clay pipe, meetingl
ASTM specifications C-700 for extra strength clay pipe of latest revision unless other materials arc hereby permitted in writing. The sewer
shall be installed in accordance with ASTM 2321 for pve pipe and the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State of Indiana. All installations shill be
in strict compliance with pertinent City ofCarmc] ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed in accordance with City Code Sedtion
9-122(a), and sections P3008.1 and.2 of the International Residential Code. All building sewers shall be 6" diameter. i

All installations shall be "open trench" inspected and approved bv the Carmel Sewer Department before any backfillinl! is done. Non-
compliance may result in digging up the sewer installation and/or denial of future sewer permits and/or denial of water connections.
No footing or foundation drains or other sources of ground water or storm water shall be permitted to enter the public sewer.
Sewer insoections should be reauested at (317) 571-2648 one to four hours in advance.
No inspections or installations will be made on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unless arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance. All
plumbers or contractors installing sewer (or water) lines shall have a plumbers bond posted with the CITY ENGINEER'S OFFICE. Ifany street
must he cut. a senarate street cut nermit shall he ohtaineo. I
