Traffic/Security Procedures
Northpoint utilizes Costello Security Company for the hiring of contracted police officers to
provide security on the Hope Church campus any day that students are present and taking
classes. The officer arrives before our first student drop off and remains on campus until after
the final student has left for the day.Traffic is monitored in the morning and afternoon by the
officer and traffic flow is facilitated as needed.
The procedures for containing all traffic flow to the Hope Church parking lot are as follows:
1.Drop off begins at 8:15 am on Tuesdays,Wednesdays and Thursdays.Parents can
either park and walk students inside or utilize the drop off line.Cars enter the first 98th
street entrance to Hope Church and pull around along the sidewalk to drop off, then exit
onto 98th Street.
2.The final student pick up begins at 3:30 pm.A police car blocks the Haverstick entrance
to the church (remaining on the parking lot surface of Hope),directing all traffic into the
first entrance off of 98th Street.Cars loop around Hope Church’s parking lot and form
two lines around the building.Northpoint staff utilizes radios to communicate dismissing
students into marked cars. After the two rows of cars are filled, the on-duty police officer
releases a section of cars onto 98th Street.Traffic is held for any neighborhood cars as
needed.
3.All traffic is contained within Hope Church’s parking lot by looping cars around the lot
and into two lines.
4.A police officer is on site from 8:00 am-4:00 pm on all class days.A second security
officer is present to monitor the playground and outdoor areas as needed when students
are outside.
5.Students are not permitted to be outside without adult supervision.
6.All student drivers are instructed on proper safety procedures for driving in the lot and
are not allowed off church property throughout the day when they are taking classes.
7.The on-duty officer monitors the parking lot, church grounds and building throughout
each day that students are on the church campus.
