Dan Young has requested approvals necessary to renovate its site. These approvals include special use approval from the Board of Zoning Appeals, which has already been obtained, ADLS approval from the Plan Commission, which is now before the Plan Commission, and the sign variances approval for which this informational brochure is submitted. . As indicated above, a special use approval was obtained from the Board of Zoning Appeals on June 25,2001. At that time, we reviewed with you the site and landscaping plan, the building elevations, and the lighting plan. Since then, we have also reviewed those matters, together with signage, with the Plan Commission in connection with ADLS approval. In this regard, we met with the Special Studies Committee on Tuesday, July 10,2001, and received their unanimous favorable recommendation to the Plan Commission. Revisions were then made during the Special Studies meeting and afterward, all of which will be presented to the Plan Commission for ADLS approval on Tuesday, July 17, 2001. The due date for this informational brochure, however, occurred before we could make colored renderings of those revisions. As such, this informational brochure contains some black and white renderings. However, for presentation to you on July 23,2001, we will have colored renderings. In this regard, the color scheme and building materials will be identical to what was presented to you in connection with the special use and included in the special use informational brochures. With that explanation in mind, this information brochure contains an aerial photograph, elevations of the buildings on which wall signs will be located, drawings of the portions of building elevations on which wall signs appear, a rendering of the monument sign, renderings of the informational/directional signs, and a sign chart identifying each sign and showing its height, width, length, manner of illumination, and building materials.
