Re: Dan Young Chevrolet - Monument Sign
Dear Laurence:
Enclosed is the recorded Consent to Encroach, signed by the owner. I think paragraph #4
states the agreement by specifying, basically, that the City has the right to remove the sign and that,
should the City remove the sign, it will not incur any obligation to repair, replace, or reimburse the
owner. Please give me your thoughts. Thanks.
Very truly yours,
NELSON & FRANKENBERGER

Re: Dan Young Chevrolet ~ Docket Nos. V -77-01 through V ~89-01
Dear Laurence:
Enclosed you will find a copy of your letter of grant dated August 28.2001 in regard to the
above-referenced matter. The only question I have pertains to Docket No. V -89-0 1. Your letter of
grant indicates that the approved sign is 72 square feet in size. Enclosed I have provided you a copy
of the minutes for this matter. Page 8 of the minutes indicates that the approved size of the sign was
actually 122.4 square feet. I was hoping you could please revise your letter of grant and send a copy
both to AI Young and myself.
Finally. I am almost finished compiling the approval compendium for the various approvals
for this project. We still need to appear before the Board of Public Works to obtain some final
approvals. When this is done. I will send you a copy of the approval compendium for your file.
Should you have any questions, please call.
Very truly yours,
NELSON" FRANKENBERGER

Dear Laurence:
Enclosed is the requested informational brochure. Included in the pocket part is the commitment
regarding pole signs and the dedication of right-of-way.
I have also enclosed the original sign chart, the revised chart (also included in the brochure), and the
itemization of variances. Please note that the information in the first two columns in the revised chart should
be identical to the information in the first two columns of the original sign chart. I hand wrote the correction.
I will give you a second revised chart with the correction.
In that two more pole signs are removed, there are still nine identification signs. Also, there are still
three oversize signs. As such, I believe that the revisions do not require additional variances, and the notice
suffices. Please relay to me your thoughts. Thanks.
Very truly yours,
NELSON & FRANKENBERGER
