At the meeting held Monday, October 22, 2001, the Carmel/Clay Board of Zoning Appeals
took the following action regarding the Use Variance petition filed by E. Davis Coots of Coots
Henke & Wheeler on behalf of the Sipe Family LLC for property located at 3000 East 96th Street:
APPROVED: Docket No. UV-96-01, a petition to establish a retail jewelry store use. The
Board voted five (5) in favor, zero (0) opposed, thereby granting the petition.
Please be aware that during the Public Hearing, the petitioner's representative agreed that
petitioner would work with the City's Urban Forester, Scott Brewer, to develop an acceptable
reforestation/afforestation plan to accompany the project.
Copies of the recorded right-of-way dedication documents for East 96th Street and Day
Drive will need to be delivered to the Department of Community Services, Division of Planning
& Zoning, before the site will be released for the issuance of an Improvement Location Permit.
