The applicant seeks Development Plan, Architectural Design, Lighting, and
Signage approval for 1.155 acres, for the purpose of building a bank on an outlot
on a larger retail commercial parcel.
The site is located at 10925 North Michigan Road and is zoned B2/Business.

The applicant is requesting approval to allow the construction of a one-story bank
building with drive-through facilities. The building is zoned B2 and is located within the
US 421 Overlay District. Please see the informational packet prepared by the applicant
for an overview of this project. .
This item was discussed at the February 15, 2006 Technical Advisory Committee
meeting. Issues discussed at that meeting included landscaping, drive-through lanes, and
building design. The petition was scheduled to be heard at the April 18, 2006
Commission hearing, however, the site plan and elevations were under revision to meet
the requirements of the Michigan RoadlUS 421 Overlay District, and the petition was
tabled.
The new information filed with the Commission's packet indicates a revised elevation,
which meets the requirements of the Overlay District. The number of drive-through lanes
has been reduced from four to three. A walkway is indicated from the ten-foot path along
Michigan Road to the bank entrance.
Petitioner should bring the following to the Commission meeting:
1. Update on landscape plan.
2. Building material samples.
3. Signage details including color renderings, color samples, illumination details,
and size.
4. A revised site plan indicating bicycle parking.
The Department recommends that this item be forwarded to the Special Studies
Committee on June 6, 2006, for further discussion.
