ASTM specifications C-700 for extra strength clay pipe oflatcst revision unless other materials are hereby permitted in writing. The sewer
shall be installed in accordance with ASTM 2321 for pve pipe and the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State of Indiana. All installations shal) be
in strict compliance with pertinent City of Carmel ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed in accordance with City Code Section
9- I 22(a), and sections P3008.1 and .2 ofthc International Residential Code. All building sewers shall be 6" diameter. :
All installations shall be "aDen trench" inspected and approved bv the Carmel Scwer Deoartment bcforc anv backfilling is done. Non-
compliance may rcsult in digging up the sewer installation and/or denial of future sewcr permits and/or dcnial of water connections.
No footing or foundation drains or othcr sources of ground watcr or storm water shall be pcrmitted to enter the public sewer.
Sewer inspections should be rcquested at (317) 571-2648 onc to four hours in advance. I
No inspections or installations will be made on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unless arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance. All
plumbers or contractors installing sewer (or water) lines shall have a plumbers bond posted with the CITY ENGINEER'S OFFICE. If any st~eet
