ASTM specifications C-700 for extra strength clay pipe of latest revision unless other materials are hereby permitted in writing. The sewerl
shall be installed in accordance with ASTM 2321 for pve pipe and the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State of Indiana. All installations shajl be
in strict compliance with pertinent City of Carmel ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed in accordance with City Code Section
9-122(a), and sections P3008.1 and .2 of the International Rcsidential Code. All building sewers shaH be 6" diameter.
All installations shall be "open trcnch" insDected and anoroved bv the Carmel Sewer Denartment before anv backfilling is done. Non-
compliancc may result in digging up the sewer installation and/or denial offuturc scwer permits and/or denial of water conncctions.
No footing or foundation drains or other sources of ground water or stann watcr shall be pennitted to entcr the public sewer.
Sewer insoections should be requested at (317) 571-2648 one to four hours in advance.
No inspections or installations will be made on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unless arrangements arc made at least 24 hours in advance. All
plumbers or contractors installing sewer (or water) lines shall have a plumbers bond posted with thc CITY ENGINEER'S OFFICE. Ifany street
