The purpose of the analysis is to determine acceptability of the tower stress level. Based on our analysis we have determined the tower stress level for the structure and foundation, under the following load case, to be: LC8.7: Proposed Equipment Configuration Sufficient Capacity This analysis is for informational use only and is not intended to provide engineering services to the public, nor should the analysis be relied upon for jurisdictional submittals or approval. This analysis utilizes an ultimate 3-second gust wind speed of 115 mph as required by the Indiana Building Code (2012 IBC with Amendments). Applicable Standard references and design criteria are listed in Section 2 - Analysis Criteria. Structural analysis prepared by: Jacob Johnson, E.I.T. Respectfully submitted by: B+T Engineering, Inc. Monopole tower designed by FWT Inc. A proposed 5 ft. tower extension has been considered in this analysis, bringing the total tower height to 123.5ft. 2) ANALYSIS CRITERIA TIA-222 Revision: TIA-222-H Risk Category: II Wind Speed: 115 mph Exposure Category: C Topographic Factor: 1 Ice Thickness: 2 in Wind Speed with Ice: 40 mph Service Wind Speed: 60 mph Table 1 - Proposed Equipment Configuration Mounting Level (ft) Center Line Elevation (ft) Number of Antennas Antenna Manufacturer Antenna Model Number of Feed Lines Feed Line Size (in) 120.0 120.0 3 Commscope FFVV-65C-R3-V1_TMO 2 3 1-1/2 7/8 2 Commscope HCS 2.0 Part 1 3 Nokia AEHC 3 Nokia AHFIG_TMO 3 Nokia AHLOA_T-MOBILE 1 Perfect Vision PV-LPPGS-12M-HR25-AP4 Platform Mount Table 2 - Other Considered Equipment Mounting Level (ft) Center Line Elevation (ft) Number of Antennas Antenna Manufacturer Antenna Model Number of Feed Lines Feed June 20, 2023 123.5 Ft Monopole Tower Structural Analysis CCI BU No 877635 Project Number 136349.006.01.0001, Order 649582, Revision 0 Page 4 tnxTower Report - version 8.1.1.0 3) ANALYSIS PROCEDURE Table 3 - Documents Provided Document Reference Source Tower Manufacturer Drawing 1959918 CCI Sites Foundation Drawing 1472998 CCI Sites Geotech Report 1609467 CCI Sites Crown CAD Package Date: 06/16/2023 CCI Sites 3.1) Analysis Method tnxTower (version 8.1.1.0), a commercially available analysis software package, was used to create a three-dimensional model of the tower and calculate member stresses for various loading cases. Selected output from the analysis is included in Appendix A. When applicable, Crown Castle has calculated and provided the effective area for panel antennas using approved methods following the intent of the TIA-222 standard. 3.2) Assumptions 1) The tower and structures were maintained in accordance with the - TIA-222 standard. 2) The configuration of antennas, transmission cables, mounts and other appurtenances are as specified in Tables 1 and 2 and the referenced drawings. 3) Extension details assumed in this analysis are as follows: a) Diameter: 12 inches b) Thickness: 0.375 inch c) Tower shaft Grade: A500-46 This analysis may be affected if any assumptions are not valid or have been made in error. B+T Group should be notified to determine the effect on the structural integrity of the tower. 4) ANALYSIS RESULTS Table 4 - Section Capacity (Summary) Section No. Elevation (ft) Component Type Size Critical Element P (K) SF*P_allow (K) % Capacity Pass / Fail L1 123.5 - 119 Pole TP12x12x0.375 1 -3.855 595.338 3.6 Pass L2 119 - 118.5 Pole TP14.05x12x0.375 2 -3.881 700.323 3.6 Pass L3 118.5 - 76.5 Pole TP23.24x14.05x0.188 3 -13.766 830.566 96.1 Pass L4 76.5 - 37.5 Pole TP31.41x22.209x0.313 4 -19.541 1867.939 78.0 Pass L5 37.5 - 0 Pole TP39x29.909x0.375 5 -28.801 2864.841 73.2 Pass Summary Pole (L3) 96.1 Pass Rating = 96.1 Pass June 20, 2023 123.5 Ft Monopole Tower Structural Analysis CCI BU No 877635 Project Number 136349.006.01.0001, Order 649582, Revision 0 Page 5 tnxTower Report - version 8.1.1.0 Table 5 - Tower Component Stresses vs. Capacity – LC8.7 Notes Component Elevation (ft) % Capacity Pass / Fail 1,2 Anchor Rods Base 63.3 Pass 1,2 Base Plate Base 33.5 Pass 1,2 Base Foundation (Structure) Base 39.1 Pass 1,2 Base Foundation (Soil Interaction) Base 28.8 Pass Structure Rating (max from all components) = 96.1% Notes: 1) See additional documentation in “Appendix C – Additional Calculations” for calculations supporting the % capacity consumed. 2) Rating per TIA-222-H Section 15.5. 4.1) Recommendations The tower and its foundations have sufficient capacity to carry the proposed load configuration.
