HomeMy WebLinkAboutPacket for HO 08-28-23Date: 08/17/2023 To: City of Carmel From: Thanh Ho Subject: IntroducBon of Replacement Fence Project to City of Carmel I am wriBng to introduce the Replacement Fence Project that we did for our house, within the City of Carmel. This fence aims to enhance the privacy, safety, and funcBonality. The Replacement Fence Project is a strategic iniBaBve aimed at replacing aging and deterioraBng fences in various public spaces, parks, and community areas throughout the City of Carmel. The old fences have served their purpose but are now in need of repair or replacement to ensure the conBnued safety and appeal of these spaces. With this elegant addiBon, we've created a secure space for our children to play and hang out worry-free. The carefully designed fence seamlessly blends with the surroundings, providing a clean and polished look that enhances our outdoor environment. Moreover, we're pleased to note that the thoughQul placement of the fence ensures it remains well within the property boundaries, respecBng the space and harmony of our neighborhood while offering us the comfort and seclusion we desired. Because our property is as a corner lot and the maximum fence height of 42 inch is allow. We kindly request approval for the installaBon of a 72-inch fence on our property. This heightened fence will not only provide the privacy our family desires but will also be designed to maintain a clean and aWracBve appearance for our neighbors and the surrounding area. It's important to note that the design will be carefully craXed to preserve the view for our neighbors and passing traffic, ensuring that our improved privacy does not compromise the community's visual harmony. We are commiWed to adhering strictly to property boundaries, so the fence will remain well within our property lines. This request considers both our need for privacy and our responsibility to maintain the aestheBcs and unity of our neighborhood. We strongly advocate for the approval of the proposed replacement fence, which suggests an increased height of 72 inches beyond the city's maximum allowance of 42 inches. This elevated fence height is essenBal to address our community's needs for privacy, safety, and recreaBon. By providing an addiBonal level of seclusion, the taller fence will enable residents to enjoy their outdoor spaces without compromise. Our family with children and pets will benefit greatly, as the extended height will create a secure playground for youngsters and pets to explore and play freely. While we respect the city's regulaBons, we believe that the advantages of enhanced privacy and a dedicated play area far outweigh any potenBal concerns. We trust that the city officials will consider the greater well-being and saBsfacBon of the community in their decision-making process.
