Carmel, IN is often described as an affluent
suburb in the Indianapolis metropolitan area.
This infographic examines statistics related to
housing prices and affordability in the City of
Carmel to determine how various measures
of affordability compare to that of the larger
geographies it lies within. Metrics show that
Carmel households have more rooms per
occupant as well as more rooms per housing
unit than averages at the state and national
level. The data also shows that a majority of
residents own rather than rent.
