Subject: FW: North End - Monument Sign Locations
Chris,
Hope this email finds you well and you can help me look into something I discovered today.
We had both of our monument signs for North End staked this morning for install of the founda3ons and have
unfortunately conflicted with two inlet structures installed by RR.
The concern is not the loca3on of them, we will adjust our signs to not conflict, but I am wondering if they are set at the
correct grade or if the final grade was another miss between our two drawings sets. Both inlets create “holes” and
problema3c grading in our landscaping areas that will have to be modified differently than our approved plans with
Carmel.
The other thing is that both of them seem to fall into our property lines, and outside of ROW, and I don’t’ know if that is
an issue, but thought I would men3on that as well.
Pictures below for reference. I can meet you onsite to discuss as well if that is helpful.
Thank you.

Subject: RE: North End - Monument Sign Locations
Guy,
Thanks for meeting me onsite last Friday. I have pulled out the requested drawings from our complete set. The overall
grading plan and the landscaping. On the last two pages of the landscaping plan, I included the locations of our
monument signs in Red for reference.
While Guy and I did meet onsite, there was no resolve or understanding as to why the structures/inlets were located
where they are. I think that’s the first thing that we need to question/address:
1. How is it that these structures fall onto what I believe would be considered private property?
a. The inlet structure on the far West side of the development when looking at BLN drawings appears to be
fairly close to the proposed walking path. When meeting onsite with Guy on Friday, it is pushed up
pretty close to our building (near a door entrance) and does not appear to be in the correct location
even.
2. Both Structures sit pretty low at the moment compared to the grades around them. My fear is that they are
probably near or at the correct height compared to BLN plans, but again are not in line with our approved
grades in our plans.
a. They both currently conflict with BOTH of our monument signs for the development.
b. Both sit low and create issues with our landscaping layout as well as grading.
Happy to work through any of this as needed, but let me know what you find out when you have had a chance to
review. Thanks.

Thanks for meeting with me this morning. As discussed, and when you get an opportunity, please send us final grading
including signage and landscaping for the two quadrants as mentioned in your previous email. We will review this
information to see if we can make some adjustment to facilitate your construction.
Thanks and have a good weekend.

Curtis
If you are available tomorrow between 8 and 9 , I can meet you on site to look at these areas. I am pretty sure these
structures are at the right location and correct elevation, but I will get with RR to verify. These locations are meant to be
at the low points and final grading has yet to be completed in these areas.
