The building & Sewer Shall be pve sewer pipe meeting ASTM specifications 3034 SDR 35 of latest revision; or vitrified clay pipe, meeting'
ASTM specifications C~700 for extra strength clay pipe of latest revision unless other materials are hereby permitted in writing. The sewer
shall be installed in accordance with ASTM 232] for pve pipe and the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State of Indiana. All installations shall be
in strict compliance with pertinent City of Carmel ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed in accordance with City Code Section
9-122(a), and sections P3008.1 and .2 of the International Residential Code. All building sewers shall be 6" diameter.
All installations shall be "oocn trench" insoected and aODroved bv the Carmel Sewer Deoartment before anv backfillinl! is done. Non-
compliance may result in digging up the sewer installation and/or denial offuturc scwcr pcrmits and/or denial of water connections.
No footing or foundation drains or other sources of ground water or storm water shall be permitted to entcr the public sewer.
Sewer insoections should be reauested at (317) 571-2648 one to four hours in advancc.
No inspections or installations will be made on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unless arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advance. All
plumbers or contractors installing sewer (or water) lincs shall have a plumbers bond posted with the CITY ENGINEER'S OFFICE. If any street
must he cuL a senarate street cut nennit shall he ohtainecl.
