Project Description: Inman Guest House Variances - Height
Section of UDO being varied from: UDO Section 2.04 states max height of 18'-0, we are requesting variance to allow
this project to be 30' above grade.
UDO section 5.02.B.1.A requires guest house to be behind front wall of main residence. We are requesting a variance to
be approximately 54ft in front of main house
Explanation of why variance/waiver is being requested: The variance to the height above grade is in keeping with the
surrounding homes with tall roof pitches and allows for better use of the second floor to provide space on the second
floor for the rooms required and to continue allowing maximum green spaces to surround the structure.
The location on the lot is requested to be approximately 54' in front of the main house on the same footprint and paved
driveway as the original horse barn. In each variance, no negative impact should be experienced by the adjoining owners
as trees block any viewing of the new structure in relationship to the main house.
