The brick veneer on the west end of the front of the garage home is corbelled about I Y, inches. This exceeds the residential code that allows one inch. The overhang tapers back to one inch about six feet from the west end of the wall. To support the veneer where the overhang is greater than one inch, I recommend that a 4-inch, coated steel angle be bolted to the concrete with five, 3/ll-inch, stainless steel expansion anchors. The horizontal leg of the angle should be trimmed to match the face of the bricks. This combination of steel angle and stainless steel anchors will support the bricks with an ample factor of safety. _ - ---- -- -' Please let me know if you have any questions.
