I know that there has been some recent earthmoving in that area as they are reshaping the berm which screens Kingswood from the dredge lake. I don’t believe that they will be extending any farther North. They may have room to extend a liƩle bit farther West, but I haven’t seen any plans showing the proposed limits. I am contacƟng you regarding PZ‐2023‐00187 SP (Kingswood Extension). I leŌ you a voicemail last week, but haven’t heard back from you. I apologize if you called and I was away from the phone. The last set of comments which you sent to Jennifer Milliken regarding this plat peƟƟon were as follows: I was looking for some clarificaƟon. I believe that the crux of the problem is that there is no new infrastructure being built as a part of this replat. As a result there are no construcƟon plans. They are simply wishing to extend their back yards. Regarding Overflow RouƟng: The construcƟon drawings were prepared and approved in the 1980’s. ConstrucƟon drawings are not normally recorded, so there isn’t a record reference to refer to on the plat. Some of these drawings are available on Carmel’s weblink documents site though. The lots included in this replat are situated in Kingswood SecƟons 2 and 3. I was able to find construcƟon drawings for SecƟon 3, but I could only find the development plan for SecƟon 2. These plans don’t show the flood rouƟng hatched as you requested. The SecƟon 2 drawing does show some hatched areas, but these appear to be staging areas rather than overflow. I have aƩached copies of the development plan sheets for your informaƟon. These are exisƟng documents prepared by another firm and approved decades ago. We can’t revise or modify them. Regarding Minimum Flood ProtecƟon Grades: The drawings which I was able to find for the original subdivision do not show minimum flood protecƟon grades. This may not have been required at the Ɵme that those plans were prepared. They do show proposed pad grades though. Thank you for the update, Jennifer – Do you have any updates about Willie and his review comments status? If you can get the replat to the planning/zoning office and we can get it signed by the Planning Director and to the Clerk’s Office today, it should not be an issue. (Please make sure that the landowners have signed the replat, first, as well as the project engineer/surveyor, before it gets to my office. Caleb in Engineering just needs to know if your replat item should stay on this Oct. 4 BPW meeting agenda or not, and he needs to know this by the end of the day today, preferably. (If you cannot get this to work out today, then the new deadline to get the replat to us for the planning director to sign is noon, Wednesday Oct. 11, and that would be for the Wednesday Oct. 18 BPW meeting.)
