Dear Mr. Gettum: At the meeting held on Monday, October 23, 2023, the Carmel Board of Zoning Appeals Hearing Officer took the following action regarding the Development Standards Variance (V) requests filed by you for the property located at 12020 Towne Road: APPROVED: Inman Guest House Variances - Development Standards Variance approvals for: • PZ-2023-00213 V: Maximum 18-ft accessory building height allowed, 24.6-ft granted, • PZ-2023-00214 V: Minimum 25-ft front setback behind front line of principal building required, 54- ft in front of principal building granted. Please be advised that per Article 9.15 of the Unified Development Ordinance, the aforementioned Development Standards Variance approval is valid for three (3) years. By that time, either continuous construction of the improvements must be underway, or a written request for a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must have been received and approval granted by this Department. The expiration date of the approval is Oct. 23, 2026. Please include a copy of this letter with any permit application.
