The meeting will NOT be on Dec. 25, since that is a holiday. Nov. 23 - Public Notice must be done prior to this. This includes the mailings, newspaper public notice ad, and sign placement. December 8 - fee payment and submittal of 9 information packets by Noon to the Department of Community Services. Dec. 15 - provide your proof of public notice. This is an IndyStar affidavit and the green cards from the certified mailings. December 18 - the BZA meeting is at 6 pm. You will be faxed or emailed an agenda the week prior. Make sure the public notice meeting time to the newspaper and neighbors reads 6 p.m. It is suggested to send the notice to the Indianapolis Star newspaper by Noon, two days prior to the printing deadline (317-444-7163 or email: publicnotices@indystar.com). 2.) Please make checks payable to the City of Carmel. 3.) Provide filled out and notarized Petitioner's Public Notice Affidavit (page 6 of the application). 4.) Please provide filled out and notarized placement of public notice sign affidavit. 5.) Please note that your Special Warranty Deed has an error: in the first paragraph, it states that the property is within Marion, rather than Hamilton County. 6.) Please provide a copy of the official list of adjacent properties from the Hamilton County Auditor's Office. 7.) Please provide the following details about the proposed uses: parking breakdown, number of employees, hours of operation, proposed floor plan/layout, number of clients per day, etc. The more detailed you are, the better. 8.) Et~Q~enote: if you can configure the garage area, so that two cars can still be pulled into the garage, one right behind the other, then the 2nd variance request can be withdrawn. 9. It may be beneficial to contact Les aids, Director of the Redevelopment Commission, to discuss parking areas in the immediate area of your site. The building commissioner asked that I tell you the following, while you are still in the early process of obtaining permits and approvals for the town home unit: You will have to submit new building plans to the State, for the change of use. The current building plan was approved for a residential use. You will have to get construction design release from the State. The City will not issue a Certificate of Occupancy until the above is done.
