The building & Sewer Shall be pve sewer pipe meeting ASTM specifications 3034 SDR 35 oflatest revision; or vitrified clay pipe, meeting
ASTM specifications C-700 for extra strength clay pipe of latest revision unless other materials are hereby permitted in writing. The sewer
shall be installed in accordance with ASTM 2321 for pve pipe and the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State oflndiana. All installations shall be
in strict compliance with pertinent City of Carmel ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed in accordance with City Code Section
9-122(a), and sections P3008.1 and.2 of the International Rcsidential Code. All building sewers shall be 6" diameter.
All installations shall be "open trench" inspected and anproved bv the Carmel Sewer Department before any baekfillini:! is done. Non-
compliance may result in digging up the sewer installation and/or denial offuturc sewer permits and/or denial of water connections.
No footing or foundation drains or other sources of ground water or storm water shall be permitted to enter the public sewer.
Sewer insnections should be reauested at (317) 571 ~2648 one to four hours in advance.
No inspections or installations will be made On Saturday or Sunday or holidays unless arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advancc. All
plumbers or contractors installing sewer (or water) lines shall have a plumbers bond posted with the CITY ENGINEER'S OFFICE. If any street
must he eut. a senarate street Cllt ncrmit shall he ohtaineo.
