At the meeting held Monday, April 22, 2002, the Carmel/Clay Board of Zoning Appeals
took the following action regarding petitions filed by you on behalf of O'Charley's, Inc., for
Merchants' Pointe, Lot 2, located at 2293 East 116th Street:
DENIED: Docket No. V-9-02, a Developmental Standards Variance of Section 25.7.02-8(b):
Number & Type in order to establish a wall Identification Sign on a building frontage (west
fayade) without frontage on a public street. The Board voted zero (0) in favor, five (5) opposed,
thereby denying the petition.

Dear Mr. Williams,
At the meeting held September 24, 2001, the Carmel/Clay Board of Zoning Appeals took
the following action regarding petition filed by yourself on behalf of 0' Charley' s, Inc. for property
located at 2293 East 116th Street:
APPROVED: Docket No. V-99-01, a petition to vary Section 25. 7.02-8(b): Number & Type of
the Sign Ordinance in order to permit three (3) Identification Signs on a property with one (2)
public street frontages. The Board voted three (3) in favor, one (1) opposed, thereby granting the
petition.
When applying for Sign Permits for this structure, please include a copy of this letter with
your application materials in order to assist the Department's review.
