The Project before you at 811 Oswego Road Carmel, Indiana is for a pool and surrounding concrete pool
deck. The pool will include a 50x16 fiberglass pool with an automatic cover positioned east/west along
the north side of the back yard. The surrounding pool deck will include an expanded section next to the
home to enable easy and safe access to the southern part of the back yard.This pool is
We are asking for a variance in UDO Section 2.10 Max 35%lot cover allowed. We are asking for 49%lot
cover.
We are asking for variance in UDO Section UDO Section 5.02(C)(7) Swimming pool,decking,and
equipment must be at least 10-ft from side/rear property lines, 3-ft and 8.5-ft requested.
The reason for this variance in lot coverage is to allow for a pool to be installed with appropriate pool
deck to allow safe use of the pool and access to the rest of the yard. The reason for the variance is
to allow for the concrete pool deck and pool to be positioned aesthetically east/west to allow for good
adult supervision of the whole pool. The current fence around the back yard provides ample privacy for
neighbors with the surrounding pool deck.
