Board of Zonine: Appeals Public Notice Shm Procedure:
The petitioner shall incur the cost of the purchasing, placing, and removing the sign. The sign
must be placed in a highly visible and legible location from the road on the property that is
involved with the public hearing.
The public notice sign shall meet the following requirements:
1. Must be placed on the subject property no less than 25 days prior to the public
hearing
The sign must follow the sign design
requirements:
Sign must be 24" x 36" - vertical
Sign must be double sided
Sign must be composed of weather
resistant material, such as corrugated
plastic or laminated poster board
The sign must be mounted in a heavy-duty
metal frame
The sign must contain the following:
. 12" x 24" PMS 1805 Red box with white
text at the top.
. White background with black text below.
. Text used in example to the right, with
Application type, Date*, and Time of
subject public hearing
* The Date should be written in day,
month, and date format. Example:

CARMEUCLAY ADVISORY BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

Notice is hereby given that the Carmel/Clay Board of Zoning Appeals meeting on the 18th day of
December, 2006 at 6:00 pm in the City Hall Council Chambers, 1 Civic Square, Carmel, Indiana
46032 will hold a Public Hearing upon a Development Standards Variance application to reduce
the required number of parking spaces for the development of an independent and assisted living
facility by Sunrise Development, Inc. The property is located at the northeast corner of US 31
and Old Meridian. The application is identified as Docket No. 06110002V. The real estate
affected by said application is described as follows:
Part of the East Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 35, Township 18 North, Range 3 East in
Hamilton County, Indiana, described as follows: Beginning on the East line of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 35, Township 18 North, Range 3 East 1641.00 feet North 00 degrees 02
minutes 42 seconds West (assumed bearing) from the Southeast comer of said Northwest
Quarter; thence South 88 degrees 51 minutes 53 seconds West parallel with the South line of
said Northwest Quarter 584.64 feet to the Easterly right-of-way line of U.S. Highway 31 per
I.S.H.C. plans for Project ST-F-222 (9); thence South 00 degrees 01 minutes 08 seconds West

37 minutes 16 seconds West 33.65 feet along the north line of the owner's land to the
northwestern boundary of Old U.S. 31 and the point of beginning of this description; thence
South 36 degrees 34 minutes 49 seconds West 206.86 feet along the boundary of said Old U.S.
31 to the point designated as point "275" on said Right of Way Parcel Plat; thence North 20
degrees 42 minutes 15 seconds East 110.86 feet to the point designated as point "253" on said
