RE: Carmel Old Town Apartments
Dear Sir:
At the suggestion of Les aids, I am writing to make a request regarding identification signage at the
above-described property which is located at the corner of Main Street and the Monon Trail.
Since we purchased the property from AMLI, we have become aware of an identification problem with
respect to the apartments. Many passersby on the trail and elsewhere believe the apartments are
condominiums and express surprise that they are available for lease.
Presently, there is no identification on the buildings along the trail or on 1 sl Street. We respectfully
request the following:
1. A sign similar to attached Exhibit "A" to be affixed to North Building in a manner similar to attached
Exhibit "B".
2. A sign similar to attached Exhibit "A" be affixed to the South Building in a manner similar to
attached Exhibit "C".
3. A yard identification sign be erected in the Monon Trail greenspace similar to attached Exhibits "D"
and "E". While we are uncertain as the policy of the City with respect to signage in the greenspace,
we have noted such a sign adjacent to the Bubs Restaurant.
We would anticipate that all signs would simply identify the community as apartments, and show a phone
number.
We would appreciate your reviewing our request and giving us your decision at your earliest convenience.
