Dear Mr. Terew,
At the meeting held Monday, March 24, 2003, the Carmel/Clay Advisory Board of Zoning
Appeals took the following action regarding the Development Standards Variances filed by you on
behalf of Apple Indiana I, LLC, for property located at 10325 North Michigan Road:
APPROVED: Docket No. V-25-03, a Development Standards Variance petition of Section
23C.09(D) in order to establish a 91' 4" continuous fayade.
The Board voted three (3) in favor, zero (0) opposed, thereby approving the petition.
APPROVED: Docket No. V-26-03, a Development Standards Variance petition of Section
23C.09(D) in order to establish a two-foot (2') fayade offset.
The Board voted three (3) in favor, zero (0) opposed, thereby approving the petition.
APPROVED: Docket No. V-27-03, a Development Standards Variance petition of Section
25.07.02-08(b) in order to establish three (3) identification signs.
The Board voted three (3) in favor, zero (0) opposed, thereby approving the petition.

25.07.02-08(b) in order to establish one (1) identification sign oriented south.
The Board voted three (3) in favor, zero (0) opposed, thereby approving the petition.
APPROVED as Amended: Docket No. V-29-03, a Development Standards Variance petition
of Section 25.07.02-08(c) in order to establish an 30.459-&quare-foot (10'9" x 2'10")wall
sign on the west elevation. .
The Board voted three (3) in favor, zero (0) opposed, thereby approving the petition as
amended.
Please be advised that per Section 25.07.07: Sign Permits of the Zoning Ordinance, the
signs approved pursuant to the aforementioned Development Standards Variances must be
established within one (1) year. The expiration date of the approvals is Tuesday, March 24,
2004.
*When applying for Sign Permits for this structure, please include a copy of this
letter with your application materials in order to assist the Department's review.
Please be advised that per Section 30.05.05: Time Limit of the Zoning Ordinance, the
aforementioned Development Standards Variance approvals are valid for one (1) year. By that
time, either continuous construction of improvements must be underway, or a written request for
a one-time, six-month extension of the approval must have been received and approval granted
by this Department. The expiration date of these approvals is Tuesday, March 24,2004.

The technical review and comments are intended to evaluate the completeness of the erosion and sediment control plan for the
project. The erosion and sediment control plan submitted was not reviewed for the adequacy of the engineering design. All
practices included in the plan, as well as those recommended in the comments should be evaluated as to their feasibility by a
qualified individual with structural practices designed by a qualified engineer. The plan has not been reviewedfor local, state,
or federal permits that may be required to proceed with this project. Additional information, including design calculations may
be requested to further evaluate the erosion and sediment control plan.
The erosion and sediment control plan has been reviewed and it has been determined that the plan:

Indiana Department of Environmental Management.

Following are CTRWD comments on the agenda items effecting our sanitary sewers or service
area for the December 18, 2002 TAC meeting. Please feel free to copy and distribute this
email or attach it to your meeting minutes. We have also created a new page on our
website linked to the "Construction" page where we have posted all CTRWD TAC comments from
2001 and 2002 meetings held to date. We will continue to add to this page every month so
please let everyone know they can view our comments online now too.
Village of Mount Carmel, Section 10 (Primary Plat)
The District has not received any plans for this proposal. Building permits should NOT be
issued unless the District has issued connection permits.
Wexley Chase (Primary Plat)
The plans received by the District show the sanitary main lines and manholes, but will
need to be revised to show sewer profiles, manhole, lateral and bedding details. The
District's most recent version of sanitary sewer specifications also needs to be included
on the plans. Revised plans need to be submitted. A preconstruction meeting will need to
be held before the construction of the proposed sanitary sewers. Building permits should
NOT be issued unless the District has issued connection permits.
University High School (Special Use, DSV)
The District has not received any plans for this proposal. Building permits should NOT be
issued unless the District has issued connection permits.
Shelborne Park, Section 2 (Secondary Plat and Construction Plans)

Dear Mr. Dobosiewicz:
The following is a design narrative for the Applebee's Neighborhood Grill and Bar.
The Design Theme is Greek Revival-with pilasters and triangulated pediment
The building proportions have significant proportions modeled after the Golden Section: as can be seen by the
analysis diagram.
The building height is 24'-5" to the roof ridge and is 14'-8" to the pediment.
The building fayade has a defined base of split faced concrete blocks reminiscent of limestone. The wall
surface is modulated with pilasters and windows and the pediment has a com ice articulation.
The roof has a pitch of 5 in 12 at the pediment gable and 12 in 12 at the perimeter mansard, which
camouflages the roof top equipment. The shingles are a heavy weight asphalt shingle that resembles gray
slate.
The entrance is defined with its own tall pilasters and pediment proportioned to the Golden Section.
Windows are divided insulating units and are fixed.
The fabric awnings are above the window frame and are fixed.
The building materials are red brick and architectural pre-cast concrete masonry at the base sills and wall
caps. Dryvit type material is used for the gable ends and cornice pediment.
