Dear Mr. Green—
Congratula?ons on being elected Council President. A huge responsibility!
We briefly met when you were campaigning recently and you knocked on my door. Thanks for your follow up email
concerning a misplaced previous communica?on.
As a Jackson’s Grant resident, I’m concerned about growth and traffic in JG Village. I would prefer more townhomes
instead of a daycare. Nevertheless a daycare, presumably closed on evenings and weekends, would be preferable to
some other businesses, like a gym or convenience store. I’ve been frustrated with a governmental a?tude that goes
against the residents’ wishes because the elected officials think they know more than their cons?tuents. When I look at
the planned extra parking spots through my cynical eye, it looks like a ruse. A daycare doesn’t need 60 spots, but an
adjacent new bar/restaurant could use those spots on evenings and weekends, sending impaired drivers through
Jackson’s Grant roads looking for ways to go north on Springmill Rd.
Importantly, in any event, may we have pedestrian-triggered warning lights at the four crossings of the 116th/Springmill
Road roundabout?
Thanks for all you do.
