Please provide canopy dimensions: full width as well as face height and
width. Maximum Canopy sign width per UDO sign standards is 90% of
canopy width if canopy is 14' wide or less, 70% of width if canopy is wider
than 14'. Maximum height is 24". Canopy face sign (social house) size is
allowable if there is square footage left over from maximum canopy sign size
allowed.

Bicycle parking
Section 5.29 of the City's UDO requires bicycle parking for restaurants to be
provided at a rate of 1 space for every 2,000 sq ft. Revise the plans to include
the required bicycle parking on the site plan and show a detail of the rack.
Bike racks are to be inverted-U rack type and are to be installed within 50 ft
from the main entrance of the building. Please refer to section 5.29 of the
UDO for more information and details.

Sidewalk obstructed
It appears as if the proposed pergola is obstructing the sidewalk along the
south side of the building. This requires people to walk in the parking lot get
to the main entrance of the building which creates a potential dangerous
situation between pedestrians and vehicles driving through the parking lot
and backing out of the parking spaces along the south side of the parking
lot. Revise the plans so the sidewalk is not obstructed and provides safe
pedestrian access along the south side of the building from the west side of
the building to the entrance on the east side of the building.

The proposed ADA accessible route is not direct from
the path along 96th St and it requires people to travel
behind an ADA parking space which could cause a
dangerous situation when someone is backing out of
that space. Please revise the plans to include a direct
route from the 96th St path to the sidewalk along the
building that leads to the main entrance.

Staff has issues with the proposed route as people
would be crossing where vehicles are backing out of
parking spaces and does provide a straight connection
to the building entrance. Because the future sidewalk
connectivity will be constructed in front of the patio
addition, please redesign the required accessible route
to perpendicular to the path on 96th Street as shown
on the most recent mark ups. Thank you.

of bicycle parking spaces appears to be met; however,
bike racks are to be installed within 50 feet from the
main entrance of the building and the proposed
location currently exceeds this. Please relocate them
adjacent to the secondary exterior door on the east

enclosure image is from an establishment located in
Fishers, Indiana. I will strike through note #1 in the Patio
Enclosure Concept Notes and make a notation to reflect

Please see the uploaded Exterior Elevations for an image
of the product for the retractable screens, from a
location in Carmel. This project will have a partial height
wall of masonry, matching the existing building. The
screens have a solid border with a clear vinyl field. The
intent is to provide comfort during inclement weather,
this will not be a year-round space.
