The building & Sewer Shall be pve sewer pipe meeting ASTM specifications 3034 SDR 35 of latest revision; or vitrified clay pipe, meeting
ASTM specifications C-700 for extra strength clay pipe of latest revision unless other materials are hereby permitted in writing. The sewer
shall be installed in accordance \vith ASTM 232] for pve pipe and the Uniform Plumbing Code for the State of Indiana. All installations shall be
in strict compliance with pertinent City of Carmel ordinances. Back Water check valves shall be installed in accordance with City Code Section
9-122(a), and sections P3008.1 and.2 of the International Rcsidential Code. All building sewers shall be 6" diameter.
All installations shall be "ooen trench" insoected and anoroved bv the Carmel Sewer Deoartment before anv backfillim! is done. Non-
compliance may rcsult in digging up the sewer installation and/or denial of future sewer permits and/or dcnial of water connections.
No footing or foundation drains or othcr sourccs of ground water or storm water shall be permitted to enter the public sewer.
Sewer insoections should be requested at (317) 571-2648 one to four hours in advancc.
No inspcctions or installations will be made on Saturday or Sunday or holidays unless arrangements are made at least 24 hours in advancc. All
plumbers or contractors installing scwcr (or water) lines shall have a plumbers bond posted with the CITY ENGINEER'S OFFICE. If any street
